Meet Opex John, a tattoo artist from Java, Indonesia, who has been tattooing since 2010. Starting by practicing on his own skin and his friends, he developed his skills through years of dedication and experience.

Opex specializes in realistic portraits, color, and black & grey tattoos, with a particular passion for large-scale pieces and projects built around a strong theme. His inspiration comes from the people around him as well as tattoo magazines, constantly influencing his creative approach.

Outside tattooing, Opex enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, and painting. For him, tattooing is simply something he loves to do—and that passion is reflected in every piece he creates.

His approach is all about creating custom designs with his own character. He believes every artist should have their own identity and isn't afraid to be different, because, as he says, “Everything the same is boring.”
